A crane box is designed for situations where heavy and continuous electrical power is required during a construction or renovation project. This type of cabinet is specifically designed to control machines that use frequency control and require a residual current device of type B —such as tower cranes—to ensure proper operation.

The crane cabinet serves as a central distribution point for electricity on the site. It is equipped with multiple three-phase and single-phase sockets, allowing different devices to be connected simultaneously and safely. Thanks to the three-phase connection, the load is better distributed, which is essential for the reliable functioning of heavy construction machinery.
